    Charlottenburg Palace

Berlin’s largest surviving royal palace was severely damaged during the Second World War, with major interiors and collections lost. Its elaborate postwar reconstruction recreated rooms such as the Porcelain Cabinet and Golden Gallery, so today’s palace is simultaneously a Hohenzollern residence, a war survivor and a monumental reconstruction.
