The crossing of the big malls and the station where the lines meet. Between Siam and National Stadium it is a city passage, not a quiet neighbourhood.
Why go
People come for the air conditioning, the shops, and to change trains. A Friday evening is busier than a Monday morning.
Where to stay
A practical base because of the BTS: the old town and Sukhumvit are both short rides. At night there is little to walk except the malls.

It is easy to stay inside the malls. Jim Thompson House and BACC are a short walk from the station, and easy to walk past.

- Erawan Shrine — The Erawan Shrine is best known for its statue of Phra Phrom, the Thai representation of Brahma, the Hindu god of creation.
- Wat Pathum Wanaram — A Buddhist temple founded by King Mongkut in 1857.
