A first walk through Rattanakosin. Fifteen places are on the line, from Bowonniwet past the swing and the city pillar to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and the ferry to Wat Arun. Ten stories are the ones to hear. Bowonniwet is an optional prologue: a shorter day starts at the Democracy Monument. Loha Prasat, Ban Bat, Wat Suthat and Wat Ratchapradit can stay short. Start around 8:00. The palace sells ordinary tickets until 15:30; entry is 500 baht and includes Wat Phra Kaew. Wat Pho is 300 baht, Wat Arun 200. The straight line between the points is about 5.5 km. Gates and the ferry make the walk longer.
