Elisabeth Bridge
The ornate original bridge opened in 1903 with a record-setting 290-metre central span, but it was blown up by retreating German forces on January 18, 1945. Unlike Budapest's other central bridges, it was not reconstructed in its former style; the stark white cable bridge opened in 1964 over the old crossing's surviving alignment.
