Gozsdu Courtyard
These linked courtyards grew into a dense world of workshops, merchants and Jewish residents before all seven buildings were enclosed within the 1944 ghetto. Their later conversion into a crowded nightlife and restaurant complex became part of a wider dispute over aggressive redevelopment and the erasure of the old Jewish Quarter's residential character.
