Lobkowicz Palace
After the 1618 defenestration, the injured imperial governors Jaroslav Bořita of Martinice and Vilém Slavata escaped into this palace. Polyxena of Lobkowicz protected them from the rebels, turning her residence into the unlikely refuge of the men whose fall helped ignite the Thirty Years’ War.
