The next quarter by the bazaar: the Bayezid II Mosque, Beyazıt Tower and the Süleymaniye Mosque. A walk from Hagia Sophia, but the pins already sit apart from Topkapı. Zeyrek is on the same slope.

Known for

The Bayezid Mosque, Beyazıt Tower and Süleymaniye stand in the quarter by the bazaar, with Zeyrek on the same slope.

Why go

Come by day, after Sultanahmet, while the bazaar is open. In the evening the shops shut earlier than the palaces.

Where to stay

A night works if the morning starts at the bazaar, not at Hagia Sophia. Topkapı is still a step away. A suitcase is easier than in the Fener lanes.

From Hagia Sophia, Divan Yolu brings you to Beyazıt Square: the bazaar is beside it, Süleymaniye is up the slope, and Zeyrek is further along the same hill. Topkapı stays back in the Sultanahmet quarter.
