Victory Square, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and the site of Königsberg Castle hold the centre. The zoo and the Amber Museum by the Dohna Tower stand on the north edge, and the King Gate is to the east.
Why go
After the island, in the daytime, as one walk on the north bank.
Where to stay
This is the practical base for a suitcase: the square, the castle site and the way to the island are close. The southern gates and Amalienau are separate trips.

On Victory Square you get the cathedral and the traffic, and the castle is not on the lawn. The site of Königsberg Castle is farther south, by the House of Soviets: you walk down to it from the square. The Amber Museum is in the Dohna Tower, the zoo just behind it, on Prospekt Mira. The King’s Gate is already to the east, at Litovsky Val.

- Bus Station — Утром кофе третьей волны, вечером панк-бар с винилом и диджеями. Проект Щербича вокруг старых автобусов после Чайковского живёт на Генделя.
- Dolce Vita — Ресторан на площади Маршала Василевского, 2. Основной зал — стол и вино, поварской стол бывает отдельным форматом внутри того же дома. Недельные часы открыто не собраны.
- Roku — Коктейльный бар в японском доме Акулова и Борисенко над Нижним озером. Карта регулярно сменяется и каждый раз посвящена Японии, рядом изакая.

- Место силы — Первый городской бар, целиком отданный ремесленному пиву, продолжение магазина Бирдекель. За стойкой наливают крафт и разбирают стили.
- Ми-со — Раменная на Черняховского, 7: своя лапша и посадка за стол. Неделя часов в открытых карточках не собрана.
- Наполи — Пиццерия на дровах на проспекте Мира, 13. Зал с полудня до одиннадцати, к столу есть вино. В том же доме с утра работает кафе «Остановка Театр», у него свой вход.
- Остановка Театр — Кафе с завтраком в доме 13 по проспекту Мира. С без четверти девять до одиннадцати вечера: кофе и стол. Пиццерия «Наполи» в этом доме — соседняя дверь.
- Плохой охотник — Веган-кафе на Ленинском проспекте, 18, корпус 1. Понедельник закрыт, со вторника по пятницу кухня с двух до десяти. Суббота и воскресенье в свежей карточке не расписаны, в сетке их нет.
- Прачечная — Спешелти-кофейня, с которой в городе началась третья волна: Варёха и Скрябин открыли её на Галицкого, и сюда до сих пор приходят за разговором о чашке.
- Угли — Мясной ресторан в доме страхового общества на проспекте Мира, 19–21. Гриль и выдержка, зал со столами. Неделя часов в открытой карточке не собрана.
- Штайндамм, 99 — Ресторан в историческом доме на Житомирской, 22. Кухня и вино. Вывеска помнит адрес Штайндамм, 99, дверь смотрит на Житомирскую. Часы недели не собраны в одну сетку.
