Fushimi Inari: the torii corridor climbs the hill from the station. This is a climb, not a walk between shops. Sake sits by the station. Higher up there are only gates and forest.
Why go
Early morning. By day the corridor is packed. By evening the walk down is already in the dark.
Where to stay
No reason to sleep here. Come for the climb and go back to the river.
