Arbat, Sivtsev Vrazhek, Plotnikov Lane
The Arbat from Arbatskaya toward Smolenskaya, and the side lanes, are the walk west of the Kremlin. The Garden Ring is not this district: the street ends at the square and does not follow the boulevards.

The pedestrian Arbat from Arbatskaya to Smolenskaya, and the lanes beside it.
Day and evening. Mornings are quieter, and after dark the street is a stroll, not a tour of the walls.
A practical night west of the Kremlin. Red Square is a walk without the suitcase.

The Arbat itself is shopfronts and musicians. Sivtsev Vrazhek and Plotnikov Lane are quieter, with courtyards and houses. The street ends at Smolenskaya.
