Known for

Linzer Gasse, Steingasse and the Capuchin monastery stand on the right bank of the Salzach.

Why go

Come in the evening along Steingasse. Mornings are quieter than Getreidegasse. The cathedral is across the bridge.

Where to stay

Quieter for a night if the right-bank evening matters more than a morning at the fortress. Do not haul a suitcase up the Kapuzinerberg: sleep down by Linzergasse.

This is a second walk, toward evening, across the river. The fortress stays on the left bank, in the Altstadt, and is not the view from this side.

Where to have it

  • Bar Centrale — Кристина-Зоня Вайнхандль приняла Вайн-амт у Доротеи и Антона Хавранек и открыла дневную бар с итальянским аперитивом. Сад на Бергштрассе держит ритуал между концом дня и ужином.
