New Holland by day, the performance in the evening. Without a ticket the area is still a walk. The point is just different.
Where to stay
Useful if the evening is the theatre. After the show a taxi is easier to find than quiet.

By day enter New Holland from the Admiralty Canal embankment or from the Moika: inside are the lawn and the buildings, and there is no stage. By night the district gathers at the Mariinsky door on Teatralnaya Square. Two times of day, one quarter.

- Charlie — Ресторан на набережной канала Грибоедова, 54. Городские карточки дают один дом у Садовой. Вход с набережной.
- Laboratorio Distilita — Бар в доходном доме Бертгольда, Гражданская, 13–15. Городские карточки держат одну дверь на этом адресе. Дом стоит у Сенной, вход с Гражданской.
- WöD — Крошечный винный бар во дворе Дома композиторов.
- ЕМ — Ресторан в старой квартире на Мойке, 84. Сайт держит одну дверь: готовят на чугунной печи, которая не гаснет. Четверг, пятница и суббота — ужин, воскресенье короче, начало недели закрыто.
- Стирка 40 — Бар-прачечная на Казанской, 26/27. Свой сайт зовёт её артистическим углом: днём здесь стирают, вечером играют группы. «Афиша» писала, что бару было двадцать лет. Кабак «Вчера и навсегда» стоит в соседнем квартале, это другая дверь.
