Gyeongbokgung, Bukchon, Insadong and Ikseon-dong. The city's first morning: the gates open early, and by noon the courts are full of groups.
Why go
Come when the palace opens. The evening stays in the Ikseon lanes. The courts themselves are shut.
Where to stay
Worth it if you want to walk to the gates. Hongdae and Gangnam are across the city.
