Wat Rakhang

Why it is worth the detour

This royal temple on the Thonburi bank is named for a great bell found here under Rama I, and it was home to the monk Somdet To.

Wat Rakhangkhositaram is a second-class royal monastery located on the Thonburi side of Bangkok. It is notable for its historical importance and beautiful Thai paintings in the old tripitaka hall.
