Gianluca Zambrotta is an Italian former professional footballer who began his career with Como in 1994. He played as a full-back or wide midfielder on both the left and right. He later represented Bari, Juventus, Barcelona, AC Milan and Chiasso, and earned 100 caps for Italy.

From Como to Juventus
After starting with Como in 1994, Zambrotta gained prominence at Bari and joined Juventus in 1999. During seven seasons with Juventus, he won consecutive Serie A and Supercoppa Italiana titles in 2002 and 2003 and reached the 2003 UEFA Champions League final.
One hundred caps for Italy
Zambrotta earned 100 caps for Italy and played at three FIFA World Cups and three UEFA European Championships. He was a key member of the starting lineup when Italy won the 2006 World Cup and was selected for the Team of the Tournament.
Final season with Chiasso
After playing for Barcelona and AC Milan, Zambrotta ended his playing career with Swiss club Chiasso in 2014. He later coached the club.
